Yes Environmental Services and Solutions (YESS) is pleased to announce that effective immediately we will be providing compliance services to Battery Producers under the Ontario Battery Regulation 30/20 as a Producer Responsibility Organization (PRO). This step brings YESS’s market leading compliance services to a new category of Producers in the market, expanding its current offerings of compliance services from Tires to include this designated material.
YESS is a wholly owned division of Environmental 360 Solutions (E360S). The vertical integration provides our PRO with direct access to the most robust battery collection network in the province and both direct collection and resource recovery capabilities through our battery recycling division based in Port Colborne, Ontario. This direct access to the collection and processing infrastructure, equipment and personnel allows YESS to ensure complete compliance for our Producers at the lowest cost.
Since the transition to the Ontario Resource Recovery and Circular Economy Act (RRCEA) in July 2020 RMC/E360S has collected and recycled over 13,000,000 kilograms of batteries. The resources recovered from our battery processing operations are delivered to downstream manufacturers that use these commodities in the production of new, green products.
